This page describes the confirmed licence policy. It does not grant a software licence or present the final EULA as already in force. The complete agreement and required company details will be published before commercial distribution.
Single-user licence
A licence is for one user and permits activation on two computers belonging to that same licensed user. Sharing a licence or account with other people is not permitted.
Personal and commercial work
You may use licensed GeekSound plugins for personal and commercial projects, including professional recording, mixing, mastering, paid client work and commercially distributed music. No additional royalties or fees are owed to GeekSound solely because you use the plugins in commercial music production.
Permanent purchases and updates
A one-time purchase provides a permanent licence for the individual plugin purchased. Minor updates, maintenance and bug fixes are included. Major version upgrades may require a further purchase.
Subscription access
An active GeekSound Complete Collection subscription includes all currently available GeekSound plugins, future releases and all major and minor updates. Those subscription benefits apply while the subscription is active.
When subscription licences expire, the software remains installed but the associated plugins become unavailable. Access can be regained by renewing or purchasing the relevant permanent licences. The exact expiry behaviour is subject to final PACE testing.
Activation and moving computers
iLok / PACE computer-based activation is planned. A physical iLok USB dongle will not be required; iLok Cloud and USB activation are not confirmed.
Deactivate an old computer through iLok License Manager before moving its activation to a replacement computer. If the old computer is inaccessible, request support, subject to PACE recovery procedures. This is not a transfer of the licence to another user.
Offline use after activation is intended, with internet access required for initial activation and some licence-management tasks. Final PACE behaviour remains to be verified.
Restrictions and ownership
Do not share, redistribute or sublicense the software or licence. Voluntary resale and transfers of permanently purchased licences are not permitted except where mandatory applicable law requires otherwise. Do not bypass licensing protections. Any restriction applies only to the extent permitted by applicable law.
The software is licensed, not sold as intellectual property. LLC Geeksound owns or has appropriate commercial rights in the software and necessary assets. All rights not granted by the final EULA are reserved.
Installation and privacy
GeekSound Plugin Manager will be required for installation and updates and is currently in development. It will support optional automatic updates and manually initiated updates.
Plugin audio processing is local; audio recordings are not uploaded to GeekSound or external cloud services. Necessary account, payment and licensing information may be transmitted. See the Privacy Policy.
Your statutory rights
These planned rules do not limit rights that cannot be excluded by law. Refund rights are described in the Refund Policy.
