macOS: Intel and Apple Silicon.

Final minimum operating-system versions, RAM and disk-space requirements will be published before launch. AAX / Pro Tools and native Windows ARM64 support are not confirmed.

Other compatible VST3 or AU hosts may work, but have not been confirmed as tested.

Installation and licensing requirements

GeekSound Plugin Manager

Plugin Manager is in development and is not yet available to download. At launch, it will be required to install and update GeekSound plugins. Standalone installers are not planned.

The application itself will be a free public download. You will sign in to your GeekSound account to see purchased plugins, subscription entitlements and updates. Automatic updates will be optional; you will also be able to start updates manually.

Accounts and licence delivery

  1. Create a GeekSound account using email and password, then verify your email before checkout.
  2. Complete checkout when sales open.
  3. Enter your iLok User ID in your GeekSound dashboard after checkout.
  4. Receive the relevant licence in your iLok account, then activate your computer and install through Plugin Manager.

The dashboard, email verification and automatic iLok licence delivery are not operational yet. The delivery workflow requires final PACE integration and testing.

Two computers. One user.

Each licence allows two computer activations for the same licensed user. Licence sharing with other people is not permitted. iLok / PACE computer-based activation is planned; a physical iLok USB dongle will not be required. iLok Cloud and USB activation are not confirmed options.

You will be able to move an activation by deactivating the old computer in iLok License Manager. If the old computer is inaccessible, contact support@geeksoundplugin.com; recovery is subject to PACE procedures.

Internet access and local audio

All plugin audio processing happens locally on your computer. Audio recordings are not uploaded to GeekSound or external cloud services.

The intended licensing behaviour is offline plugin use after activation, with internet access needed for initial activation and certain licence-management operations. This remains subject to verification with the final PACE configuration.

When a subscription ends

Plugins remain installed, but the subscription-based licences expire and the associated plugins become unavailable. Renewing the subscription or purchasing the relevant permanent licence restores entitlement. Exact expiry and recovery behaviour is being verified with PACE.
